How do you cool down on a hot day?

I have just read an interesting (and a little surprising!) article from BBC:

http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20180801-what-you-should-and-shouldnt-do-in-a-heatwave

But before you start reading, you may want to study this:

Heat is killing me. Temperatures are so high that I wish I could install air conditioning at home (maybe next year…).

So I try to tackle this situation by using any means at my disposal – basically, I drink a lot of cold water, take cold showers and go walking at night.

What are your ways of handling high temperature?   Do you drink cold or hot drinks? Have you got a fan? Do you open windows? How about a bottle of beer? Do you worry about your health?

And finally: are you surprised at the ideas from the article?

Good luck!

Ten Books to Read in August

It’s so nice to read a good book in the company of something cold to drink.

BBC recommends reading these titles: http://www.bbc.com/culture/story/20180731-ten-books-to-read-in-august

and I recommend studying these phrases first: 01_ten_books_to_read_in_august.

While learning a foreign language, it is crucial to stay in touch with the target language or get immersed in it. One of the ways is to read. You can read everything starting with product labels, lyrics of your favourite songs, articles and books.

Don’t miss any opportunity! Good luck!
